How many passport photos fit on a 4x6 print?
A 4x6 print fits about 6 US (2x2 in) passport photos or 8 35x45 mm photos. Here's how to lay them out and print them cheaply at home or a pharmacy.
If you want to save money, printing your own passport photos on a single 4x6 inch photo print is the cheapest route. A 4x6 print costs well under a dollar at most pharmacies, and it can hold several passport photos at once.
How many fit?
- US passport photos (2x2 in / 51x51 mm): about 6 photos per 4x6 print with cut margins.
- 35x45 mm photos (UK, India, EU, Australia): about 8 photos per 4x6 print.
The exact number depends on the spacing you leave for cutting. Our print sheet generator automatically tiles as many copies as will fit and adds light cut guides.
How to print them
- Make your photo with the passport photo maker and pick your country size.
- Choose the 4x6 print sheet option and download the sheet at 300 DPI.
- Print on photo paper at home, or upload the file to a pharmacy photo counter.
- Cut along the guide lines with a paper trimmer for clean edges.
Tip: turn off “fit to page” / “scale to fit” in your printer settings so the dimensions stay exact.
Where to print
Any pharmacy or supermarket with a photo counter — CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Costco, Boots — can print a 4x6 from a file. See our guide on how to print a passport photo for details.
