Does this tool use AI?
No. Enhancement uses traditional image processing algorithms (brightness/contrast curves, saturation matrix, unsharp mask) and upscaling uses bicubic interpolation — all running locally in your browser. No AI model or server is involved.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. All processing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and the HTML5 canvas API. Your photo never leaves your device.
What's the difference between Enhance and Upscale?
Enhance adjusts the visual qualities of the image — brightness, contrast, color, and sharpness — without changing the pixel dimensions. Upscale increases the pixel dimensions (2× or 4×) using high-quality interpolation, making it suitable for printing at larger sizes.
What's the difference between 2× and 4× upscaling?
2× doubles the width and height (4× total pixels). 4× quadruples width and height (16× total pixels). Larger upscales take longer and produce bigger files.
How does the before/after slider work?
After uploading and processing your image, the preview shows both the original (left) and the result (right) overlaid. Drag the slider left or right to reveal more of either side for an instant comparison.
Will upscaling improve quality?
Upscaling increases pixel dimensions but cannot add detail that wasn't there. It makes images suitable for printing at larger sizes or viewing on high-DPI screens, but won't fix a blurry or low-quality original.
What file formats are supported?

Is there a file size limit?
