Typical digital photo requirements

• Format — JPEG (.jpg) is accepted everywhere; some portals also take PNG.
• Dimensions — at least 600 x 600 pixels for the US; 35 x 45 mm portals often want 413 x 531 pixels or larger.
• File size — commonly between 10 KB and a few megabytes; the US online tool accepts up to about 10 MB.
• Colour — full colour, 24-bit, with true skin tones and no filters.

Composition rules still apply
